Pros and cons of A Brief History of the World app for iPhone and iPad

A Brief History of the World app good for

Based on a lite version of the classic board game "History of the World" this app takes the same epoch spanning game of global conquest and history and turns it into a fast pace little gem. While the classic game could take a couple of hours for a five player game the lite version is over in less then 30 minutes in person and with the app to do all the record keeping, cleanup of the pieces and rule mongering the game plays even faster. That said, I would love to see this app really sell so that the full board game of History of the World is brought to iOS in the same format.
Ive never played the board game version before but this version is very fun, and Im thinking about going out and buying the physical version now too. The gameplay itself is fun and easy to pick up, but has tons and tons of depth. Half star off: Unfortunately, the dated look of the UI takes away from the game itself. The check marks and ugly text/font style is the exact same as the Tigris and Euphrates game by Codito, and it seems like they didnt bother with graphics. Half star off: Also, Codito/Sage should invest a little in a developing an online lobby similar to what was done with Reiner Knizias Samurai (which was phenomenal and hasnt been matched yet for the iOS).
[Single-player review] A very slick, well designed app. This game feels like a cross between Small World and Risk, with a strong tie to actual history. Each new game is interesting and different, and best of all, reasonably short. The app is clean and the information you need is well presented, with animated transitions that help you understand what is happening. It has a couple of rough edges that the designers have promised to patch, and there a couple of minor rules that could explained or implemented better. A big surprise. I am looking forward to playing this against others online, something I rarely do.
A nice implementation of a fun game. Play is smooth and true to the style of the excellent board game.
Bought this strictly based on my enjoyment of past Codito apps. Wow, what a fun simple civilization game this is! Kind of like an advanced Risk, but the simplicity of the game still somehow gives you a feeling for the development of nations over time instead of just a world war. Great job!
Codito Dev team does it again and brings yet another board game to life for us on iOS. This game is a bit on the heavy side but an excellent tutorial and great UI make it easy enough to get into. This is the best presentation of this "type" of game.

Some bad moments

The concept of the game is good but the way it is actually implemented is not: the player has almost nothing to do. At least 50% of the time you just watch the game play by itself. No tension, you dont *feel* at risk or anything. I understand they aimed at simplicity, and simplicity is good, but its not really simple its just... plain, kinda boring.
I bought this b/c I love the board game and i love the way they reinterpreted some of the rules. However i have yet to finish a game as crashes are constant.
Still extremely buggy. Find that I cannot dismiss the empire card after bringing it up to the middle of the screen, and then Im stuck unable to do anything.
This is a great game except for the fact that it crashes all the time.
The game freezes when the United States empire card is played.
I I couldnt understand anything soo boring and has wrong history crappy game dont buy it I want my money back !!!!
